Builders Risk

A property policy covering structures under construction against physical loss or damage until project completion. On new tower builds, builders risk covers the partially erected structure, foundations, and installed components against wind, collapse, theft, and vandalism. The policy typically terminates when the structure is accepted by the owner or put into service, at which point the owner's permanent property policy takes over.
