Tower Contractor Insurance

Retroactive Date

Policy Terms

The date specified on a claims-made policy before which no coverage applies, even if the claim is made during the current policy period. If a wrongful act occurred before the retroactive date, the policy will not respond regardless of when the claim surfaces. Tower contractors switching between claims-made carriers must negotiate retroactive dates that match or predate their original policy inception to avoid gaps in coverage for prior work on structures still in service.
