Tower Contractor Insurance

Per-Project Aggregate

Coverage Structure

A policy modification (ISO endorsement CG 25 03 or equivalent) that applies a separate general aggregate limit to each project or job site rather than sharing one aggregate across all operations during the policy period. Without a per-project aggregate, a tower contractor's standard $2 million general aggregate is shared across every active project. If a large claim on one site depletes the aggregate, every other project is left with reduced or zero coverage — and the turf vendor on those projects has no additional insured protection available.

For tower contractors running simultaneous builds across multiple sites, per-project aggregate is essential. Most turf vendor and wireless carrier MSAs require it to ensure their specific project has dedicated limits regardless of what happens on the contractor's other jobs. The endorsement resets the full aggregate for each separate project, defined by job site, contract, or location.

The additional cost is typically 5-10% of GL premium. For a contractor paying $40,000 in GL premium, the per-project aggregate endorsement costs approximately $2,000-$4,000 — well worth the investment when a single missing endorsement can cause MSA certificate rejection and delay site access.
