Waiver of Subrogation

An endorsement under which the insurer agrees not to pursue recovery against a specified third party after paying a claim. Master service agreements in the telecom sector almost universally require mutual waivers of subrogation so that each party's insurer bears its own loss without cross-recovery actions that could disrupt the contractual relationship.
