Notice of Cancellation

A policy provision or endorsement specifying the number of days advance written notice the insurer must provide before canceling or non-renewing coverage. Tower MSAs typically require 30 days notice for standard cancellation and 10 days for non-payment. The certificate of insurance reflects these notice periods, and failure to maintain them can constitute a contract breach. Some jurisdictions limit carriers' ability to modify notice provisions via endorsement.
